淲hat surprised me most about the feedback about my State of the Arts interview (which was all positive) was the people who came up to me out of the blue seriously, we檙e talking at Dominion and Shopper檚 who stopped me and told me how interesting it all was. These were people I didn檛 know and I don檛 think they had any formal connection to the University.

The issues addressed by faculty members in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences through their research and teaching are critical in understanding and thriving in our changing world and to "living together better."
It is our hope that the conversations that comprise State of the Arts will increase awareness of the people behind this crucial research and help to explain the important work that they do.
