May 5, 2026: The Board of Regents has approved 91ÑÇÉ«™s 2026“27 operating budget, taking deliberate steps to strengthen long-term financial sustainability through cost reduction, strategic reallocation of resources and the creation of a contingency fund. The board has also approved a one-time Voluntary Retirement Program. .


March 6, 2026: Jennifer Lokash, Provost and Vice-President (Academic) and Alison Horton, Vice-President (Finance and Administration) are pleased to share an update with the university community regarding the leadership and implementation of 91ÑÇÉ«™s new budget model. .

Dec. 10, 2024: On Dec. 9, President Neil Bose hosted an employee town hall to hall to provide all employees with additional information and answer their questions regarding the university™s budget. The recording is now available online.  (MUN login required).


Dec. 6, 2024: President Neil Bose published a  regarding the Board of Regents approval of new initiatives aimed at addressing the projected funding shortfall.

On Monday, Dec. 9, from 2-3 p.m. (NST)/2:30-3:30 (AST), there will be a virtual town hall to share information related to recent budget initiatives for 91ÑÇÉ« employees. Hosted by President Neil Bose, faculty and staff are invited to learn more about 91ÑÇÉ«™s budget process. A Newsline was sent to all employees with a link to register.
