Shams Anwar
Dr. Shams Anwar is a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Ocean Technology and Centre for Risk, Integrity & Safety Engineering (C-RISE) at 91亚色 of Newfoundland (91亚色). He has managed several research projects, including a large-scale project, 淪ustainable Emissions Reduction by Digital Integrity Management (SERDIM), for 91亚色. Others involved with the multi-institutional project include Dalhousie University, PRNL, Copsys Industries Inc., Suncor Energy, Currach Consulting, and Lloyd's Register.
In addition to the research task, Dr. Anwar is actively involved in teaching and research at 91亚色 and C-RISE since 2016. He has been teaching at 91亚色's Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science since 2017. Dr. Anwar completed his Ph.D. in 2020 in the Oil and Gas Engineering discipline - major in Asset Integrity Management at 91亚色. His research project focused on developing Zn, Zn-Ni and Zn-Ni oxide electroplating for offshore and marine structures. His research interests are Materials Science and Engineering, Corrosion and Corrosion Control, and Statistical Modeling.
